The Rare Lycan Shark

My teeth protruded from my gums and tore the flesh, leaving the iron stench in my nose, now more sensitive and driven by the longing for crimson fluid. My hair unravelled and it fell out in bunches as my neck swelled and a sharp pike of cartilage tore from the back of my skull. I watched breathlessly as the fine fur shed itself and my blood turned cold - literally. My tail, stretching and twisting as fins burst forth and the cause of my breathlessness emerged - my lungs were gone, my chest felt more hollow and incisions formed along my swollen neck and suddenly I could feel air in my body again. It was hard to overcome, but eventually I forgot how to breathe through my nose and instead inhaled and exhaled through my throat directly. My ears receded forcing out the hearing aids and the world went silent, save for the crackle of electricity I could feel coming from every living thing.
